Brisley Design Associates (BDA) is a full-service residential interior design firm based out of Rochester, Michigan. Liz founded BDA after several years of interior design and remodeling experience. We are adept at all aspects of planning and design from conception to installation. Through thoughtful material selection, a keen sense of scale and proportion, and a talent for mixing textures and patterns, we create beautiful and functional residential spaces.

Aha Moment -Â The reason I design
Several years ago, a dear friend was over for a dinner party that lasted well into the night. She commented that our home was not only beautiful but so comfortable that she just wanted to stay a little longer. That’s when a lightbulb went off. She beautifully verbalized the reason that I design…my goal is to design spaces that invite people in and encourage them to stay.
Our surroundings have a powerful impact on our wellbeing. A home is a space that brings people together. It should be a haven where we can relax, recharge and enjoy spending time with our family and friends. That is what my home is to me and my passion and purpose as a designer is to create that same environment for you. I will work with you to incorporate aesthetics, functionality and comfort into each design to create inviting spaces that look and feel great…spaces that make you want to stay a little longer.
While interior design is my second career, it has always been my first passion…
I have always immensely appreciated beautiful spaces. Before becoming a designer, I was fortunate to have a rewarding career as a business consultant. Consulting equipped me with skills in communication, collaboration, project management and budgeting, which have given me a significant advantage in executing interior projects seamlessly. After a lifelong passion (some might say obsession) for interior design, I decided to follow my dream. Adding an interior design degree to my MBA allowed me to start my own interior design firm. I have several years of interior design experience creating beautiful and functional residential spaces. I’m thrilled to be doing what I love, excited to take on new projects and enjoy getting to know my clients.
